50% of what the buyer pays (not counting tax). At the $99 launch price, that's $49.50 per sale, minus your share of Gumroad's fees. Gumroad splits its fee between you and us in the same ratio as the commission. What you earn depends on the sales you send. Nobody can promise you a set amount.
Gumroad pays you directly, the same way it pays its sellers. You set up your payout method in your Gumroad settings. A sale can be paid out 7 days after it happens. Payouts go out on Gumroad's regular schedule once your balance is over Gumroad's minimum (currently $100). You can see your earnings in your Gumroad payouts dashboard.
30 days. When someone clicks your link, Gumroad saves a cookie in their browser. If they buy within 30 days, you get the credit. If they click a different affiliate's link after yours, the most recent click gets the credit. If their browser blocks cookies, the sale may not track.
Gumroad refunds the full price to the buyer, and your commission on that sale comes back out of your balance. If you were already paid for it, your balance can go negative until new sales cover it. Our buyers get a full refund if they make no sale in 90 days.
Yes. Only links from your Gumroad affiliate email or your "Affiliated products" page get you credit. A plain product link can't be credited to you. You can shorten your link (like bit.ly) as long as it still points to your affiliate link.
No earnings claims or promises. No spam, mass DMs or fake reviews. Always say it's an affiliate link (#ad or "I earn a commission"). Don't run paid ads on our brand name. Full rules are in the kit.
